Micro Marionette Puppet Making Course

Explore marionette making and construction on a small scale utilising a variety of materials and techniques.

Marionettes are an iconic form of puppet and have been popular for centuries recognised globally as enchanting and enduring characterised entertainment. 

In this unique course you will work with the UK's micro puppet theatre specialist to focus on making a miniatuised micro marionette which can be performed on its own or can be included into a miniature puppet theatre or 'Teatro Lambe Lambe'.

To learn how to design and build a micro marionette utilising a variety of materials and design techniques.

Details:
This is a mixed level course available to experienced puppet makers or to complete beginners. The course can be undertaken at any time of the year to suit your schedule providing that we have availability in ours!

 

We sometimes offer this course as an online group course, so please get in touch if you would like to be part of an online group given live tuition, over a number of weeks.

Tuition for this course is also available on a one to one basis or for groups of adult learners. The course is suitable for adults over 18 years of age and can be taken at our extensive puppet making workshops in Wales, at your location if you are making a group booking, or online if you would like to learn remotely. 

What you will learn and do

 

You will learn how to design and build a small scale puppet and theatre structure depending on the course you wish to undertake. Depending on your ability and how many days or weeks you opt to take the course, you could work on to finish a whole show ready to be performed.

How many days your course lasts is up to you, please discuss your objectives when booking.

You can take the course at your own pace, whether you decide to work intensively and try to finish the project over your course is up to you.
